We're always here to help.
We offer co-ed, 24/7/365 services, aiming to connect and support those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness when other forms of intervention have failed.
Guests accessing services are required to engage with staff to develop and work through goal-setting plans aimed at returning them into stable housing. We build capacity and support development of life skills through a number of programs.
Emergency Shelter & Drop-in Program
We operate a first-come, first-serve emergency overnight drop-in shelter.
During the day, individuals can access washrooms and shower facilities and work with staff on their housing plans.
As a form of shelter diversion, this program involves collaborating with community agencies to house individuals via wraparound supports. Our coordinators provide intensive support to both the newly and chronically homeless.
This overnight program supports individuals building life skills that enable them to maintain permanent housing. We work with guests daily to develop and maintain housing goal-setting plans.
Indigenous Bail Verification & Supervision Program
We provide accommodation, support, and community-based supervision to Indigenous individuals who are displaced to Timmins or Cochrane for a bail hearing. This bed program includes access to all other Living Space services.
Operating 24/7, this program aims to connect with those sleeping rough and responds to community requests. Relationship-building is vital to connecting individuals with the supports needed to move off the street; our outreach team connects with individuals where they are most comfortable.
Health Care & Harm Reduction
Health care services are offered to clients at no charge through our partners like the Canadian Mental Health Association (psychiatric evaluations), CAST Clinical (counselling), Pearly Whites Plus (dental care), Porcupine Health Unit (testing), and Rainville Health Timmins (foot care), while local doctors offer primary care.
Our 24/7 harm reduction program connects individuals with the supports they need inside and outside the community.
Alongside community partners, Living Space provides daily, external sharps collection to the City of Timmins.
If you find a sharp in the community, please contact our 24/7 feedback line at 705-531-7233, extension 0.
