Building on the success of the 2017 Summit, the 2019 Summit will assist agencies and sectors to efficiently and effectively work together to end homelessness, with a focus on systems integration, mapping, and coordinated access.
Attendees will hear from featured speakers:
Dr. Alina Turner, CEO of Turner Strategies and HelpSeeker
Alina is recognized as a leading researcher and thinker on social issues and system planning. She works with over 100 communities across Canada to support integrated efforts on well-being, safety, addictions, mental health, homelessness, poverty, and violence. Alina is a Fellow at The School of Public Policy, University of Calgary and serves on the HomeSpace Board of Directors and the Alberta Rural Development Rural Advisory Board on housing and homelessness.
Tracy Flaherty-Willmott, Associate Director of OrgCode
Tracy is a consulting expert whose sole mission is to end chronic homelessness in communities across Canada. She has over 20 years of experience in the fields of homelessness and housing, addictions and mental health, strategic planning, and community engagement. Tracy works with communities to develop and implement plans to end homelessness using evidence-informed practices, outcome-based programming, and solution-focused approaches.
